Make your Own Medical Decision

Every patient as the individual has a choice whether or not to undergo a proposed procedure, surgery, treatment or examination. In order to make decisions on medical treatments, he or she must have sufficient maturity and intelligence to understand the nature and implications of the proposed procedure, surgery, treatment or examination and this is usually also called “the best interest of the patient”. However, in making decisions on medical treatment, it is important that patients who are young person which is unmarried and below 18 years of age does not have capacity to any decision making on the medical treatment or surgery.
